Our Name

The word "sojourn" has a few meanings.  It can mean a temporary dwelling place or a long journey in a foreign land.  We adopted the name "Sojourn" for a few reasons.

• We believe life is a journey and we want our lives to be marked most clearly by our destination: one opened up for us by the grace of God through His Son Jesus Christ.


• We believe because of Jesus we have a hope that changes the way we live our lives.  Our destination is no longer death, but life.


• This world, as we know it, is not our ultimate home, so we are sojourners, dwelling in a foreign land, yet seeking to live our lives in light of our future home.
